Frequently Asked Questions about Meditation

🌿 Health and Meditation

My Health Meditation sessions help you slow down, reset, and return to yourself with a clear, steady mind.

We begin by anchoring and grounding, becoming aware of the body and breath. From there, the rhythm of breathing guides you into relaxation and presence. A stillness phase invites rest, insight, or gentle clarity — whatever your system most needs.

We always close by returning to the same position, so you awaken with clear eyes and a renewed sense of self.

Afterwards, I often recommend journalling. These small notes can become a personal record of your growth and wisdom over time.

🪽 Angelic-Inspired Messages

These two streams often complement one another, offering both physical grounding and a sense of spiritual or emotional renewal.

Alongside health-focused meditation, I offer sessions with angelic imagery and light-filled storytelling. Here, the angels represent protection, guidance, and the lifting of heavy energy into something lighter and hopeful.

You are welcome to experience these sessions in your own way — as spiritual encounters, imaginative journeys, or simply moments of comfort and clarity. However you meet them, the intention is the same: to help you feel safe, supported, and connected to what strengthens you.

Meditation & Inner Peace

Meditation belongs to everyone. It has roots in many cultures and is widely recognised today for its benefits to health, balance, and clarity. It can be a health practice, a spiritual practice, or simply a moment of quiet — the form is up to you.

Meditation is both—and neither. It’s a direct experience of awareness, stillness, and peace.
Some people meditate for their nervous system, some to reconnect with their intuition, and some to find clarity or healing.

It doesn’t require a belief system to be powerful. Meditation meets you wherever you are—spiritually, emotionally, physically—and works gently from there.

Not at all.

You don’t need to believe in anything to meditate—only to show up.

Breath, stillness, imagination, and body awareness are tools we all have access to, and they’re enough.

Meditation doesn’t ask you to “subscribe” to a path. It simply invites you to return to your own presence.

It can feel like lightness, warmth, or gentle release.

Many people describe it as a pause from the world—a place where time slows down and the body remembers how to soften.

Some sessions bring visions or intuitive messages. Others bring only breath and space. Either way, it leaves behind a sense of quiet clarity—even deeper than sleep.

Historically, meditation appears in many spiritual traditions—but it is not owned by any of them.

Whether used in Buddhist practice, Christian contemplative prayer, or secular mindfulness, meditation is ultimately a universal experience. The act of becoming still and turning inward is something all human beings can do, no matter what they believe.

Because your nervous system, mind, and spirit all benefit from rest, rhythm, and reflection.

Regular meditation:

  • Reduces stress and anxiety

  • Supports better sleep

  • Enhances creativity and intuition

  • Builds resilience and emotional clarity

  • Strengthens the mind-body connection

  • Offers deep restoration in moments of chaos

It is a gift to yourself—not a task, not a doctrine, but a practice in self-respect.

Breathwork is the conscious use of your breath to regulate your nervous system, restore calm, and shift energy in the body.

While it might seem simple, breathing with awareness is one of the most effective healing tools we have.

When guided gently and consistently, breathwork can:

  • Soothe anxiety or overwhelm

  • Bring clarity to the mind

  • Reconnect you to your body

  • Create space for emotion to move

  • Activate the vagus nerve and rest-digest state

Breath is your bridge—between body and mind, stress and peace, survival and ease.

Creative Guided Meditation is a form of meditation developed and refined over time. It blends body relaxation, breath, intuitive imagery, and creative visualisation to help you journey inward with depth and intention.

This isn’t about “emptying your mind.” It’s about opening your imagination—and letting the inner landscape speak.

In this space, you might:

  • Travel through healing scenes

  • Discover and interact with symbolic objects, places or guides

  • Receive inner messages

  • Shift energy patterns

  • Or simply find deep rest

Creative Guided Meditation is gentle, playful, and profound. It’s ideal for visual thinkers, sensitive souls, and anyone who wants to restore connection between body, mind, and spirit—without needing to “do it right.”

Inclusivity And Position Statement

My books and guided journeys use story, imagery, and symbolic characters to explore themes of calm, connection, and personal insight.

I am, first and foremost, a creative author. Some of these stories include angels, light beings, and other archetypal guides — figures found in many cultures and spiritual traditions. You are welcome to engage with them however you wish: as inspiring symbols, as imaginative companions, or simply as part of the creative world I’ve built.

At the heart of my work is storytelling — whether on the page or in guided creative meditation. The Health Meditation sessions I offer are like stepping into a story you can walk around in — a space to breathe, rest, and reflect.

These experiences are open to everyone — whether you connect with them as art, as a personal retreat, or as a spiritual practice. There is no belief required, only curiosity and willingness to explore.

No.

Health Meditation is non-denominational and grounded in mindfulness, breath, and body awareness. It’s designed to support peace, calm, and clarity for people from any or no spiritual tradition.

If you choose to explore the more symbolic layers, I also offer:

  • Angel communication — guided messages shared in the style of a creative reading.

  • Light Being transmissions — channeled symbolic messages from a collective “voice” of wisdom.

These are presented as imaginative experiences, not requirements.

I honour all sincere spiritual paths and traditions, and I do not claim exclusive access to truth.

I believe people can connect with the divine — or with their own inner wisdom — in many ways, including prayer, meditation, and creativity.

Sacred texts are meaningful to many and carry deep cultural and historical weight, but my work is not tied to any one text or doctrine. My creative characters and themes are inspired by a blend of archetypes, symbolism, and lived experience.

In my creative work, angels act as symbolic guides — representing protection, hope, and compassion. Some people see them as real; others see them as literary and artistic figures. Either approach is welcome here.

For me, they provide a comforting narrative structure for offering insight, reassurance, and emotional support in my sessions. You’re free to treat this as imaginative symbolism or personal spiritual truth.

You are welcome.

I work with clients who are:

  • Practising Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and others

  • Spiritually curious, nature-based, or culturally intuitive

  • Secular, but drawn to meditation or subtle energy work

This space is designed as a bridge—not a boundary.

I present angel communication as a symbolic, creative, and reflective process — not a replacement for anyone’s faith, religious teaching, or personal belief. You are always free to interpret the experience in your own way.

The longing to feel guided, protected, and spiritually supported is universal — and my work offers one creative way to explore that, without prescribing what it “must” mean.

They’re not a gimmick — but they are also not something I insist you believe in. In my work, angels function like recurring characters in a story: you can see them as literal, metaphorical, or simply part of the imaginative landscape.

I believe spiritual connection predates religion and can be expressed through culture, landscape, and story. My ancestry spans Italian, Celtic, Germanic, Lebanese, and French roots, and I draw creative inspiration from both Mediterranean and Australian landscapes.

I also hold deep respect for the voices of Elders, First Nations wisdom keepers, and the sacred knowledge carried through story and song across generations.

I believe that light is a gift from the divine: we can ask for it to guide our path, to surround us, and to strengthen us — and the divine is always ready to meet us in that request.

If you belong to a faith tradition, I encourage you to explore these offerings within the guidance of your spiritual mentor or in alignment with your own beliefs.

Spiritual Resonance

🌿 Ancestral Threads

I write creative journeys inspired by nature, culture, and the quiet patterns that connect us. My stories are shaped by threads from my ancestry—Italian, Celtic, Germanic, French, Lebanese, and Mediterranean—and by the landscapes I call home.

Some of my work draws on the reverence for nature and seasonal wisdom found in Celtic traditions. Other pieces are touched by an imagined connection to Japan, where, in my own storytelling, a guide often walks alongside my characters through moments of transformation. These are scenes you can take as metaphor, fiction, or simply as imagery to enjoy.

I am also deeply rooted in Australia. The native rainforests, ocean tides, and coastal light of this land are in my bones. The call of the kookaburra, the salt wind, and the scent of bush after rain are threads that run through my writing, giving it a sense of place that is both personal and universal.

I write for readers of all backgrounds—those who come with faith, those who come with curiosity, and those who simply enjoy a good story. You are free to enter these worlds in whatever way feels right to you.

If you’ve found my work, perhaps there is something here for you to discover, reflect on, or simply enjoy for the beauty of the journey itself.

With love and respect,

Joanna Becker

🌟 A Shout-Out of Gratitude

A Note of Gratitude

To the dreamers, the storytellers, the curious wanderers — thank you.

You’ve kept the flame of wonder alive across generations, whether through fable, parable, poetry, or whispered legend.
Like the rivers that have carved their paths through stone, your words and ideas have shaped the landscapes of imagination we walk today.

My own work is a continuation of that journey — a collection of creative tales offered for fascination, reflection, and the sheer joy of story.

They are not instructions, nor prescriptions. They are doors. You may open them, step through, and stay awhile… or simply close them again.

🌍 Honoring MANY NAMES

In the stories I write, the divine might be called by many names — some borrowed from the world’s great traditions, others imagined entirely.

Each name carries its own history, its own rhythm, its own way of shaping the connection between people and the unseen.

From the vast skies of the Great Spirit to the still waters of the Tao, from the whisper of Kami in the forest to the bright fire of Ra, my creative worlds weave together echoes from many cultures.

These names are not presented here as doctrine, nor as interchangeable truths — they are part of the tapestry of human imagination that inspires my work.

Just as the moon looks different depending on where you stand, the divine can be seen through many lenses, each offering a unique reflection.

🌟 Who Are the Angels We Work With?

The angels in my books walk between legend and imagination, their names drawn from ancient texts, whispered traditions, and centuries of storytelling. You’ll meet them across cultures — in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and mystical paths — but here they arrive as characters in a creative world, carrying timeless themes of courage, healing, and hope.

In my writing, they are companions on the page — you are free to see them as fiction, as metaphor, or as a reflection of your own beliefs. Their roles are open to your interpretation.

🪽 Michael — the great protector and warrior of light, standing firm when shadows gather.
🪽 Raphael — the healer, with a steady hand and a patient heart.

🪽 Faith — the quiet strength that holds you steady when the way ahead is unclear.
🪽 Gabriel/Gabrielle — the messenger, carrying words that change the course of a life and assist with new creative missions.
🪽 Uriel — the light-bringer, revealing what was hidden.
🪽 Chamuel — the reconciler, mending what was once broken.
🪽 Jophiel — the inspirer, opening the mind to beauty.
🪽 Zadkiel — the forgiver, helping the past release its grip.
🪽 Metatron — the keeper of patterns, the bridge between seen and unseen.
🪽 Sandalphon — the harmoniser, whose music carries a quiet peace.
🪽 Azrael — the comforter in moments of farewell.
🪽 Haniel — the moon-lit guide, in tune with the quiet cycles of life.
🪽 Raguel — the restorer of fairness and balance.
🪽 Jeremiel — the gentle reviewer of life’s unfolding story.
🪽 Ariel — the guardian of the wild places and the creatures who dwell there.
🪽 Guardian Angels — unique to each soul, like the quiet friend who walks beside you in every chapter.

My artworks are interpretations for my fictional worlds, blending imagination with themes found across cultures.
